Break a leg, morph into a babysitter
I limp to greet both kids in the morning. Ashton runs to door to meet mom as she returns from kickboxing. Moods are somber as the day brings another unpacking frenzy, all knowing we must repack in the next few days. Has become a routine. Jen takes Maya to the doctor for a skin infection on her knee while dad tootles around the house. I hit the gym for the first time with my green cast. Ashton is still flinging his food, this time banked a strawberry off two walls and landed on the trash can lid. Maya made the best sweet tea in the world for us to taste today....ice and water. Dad took the kids out while mom unpacked. Maya pushed Ash on stroller, pushing him in circles, wheeles and into bushes...he loved it. We sat on park bench guessing what color car was going to come by next. Maya said she wanted a rainbow sparkly car when she grows up. Swung by Nathanial's house to pet his chicken and bounce some on the trampoline. My has perfected the "my foot hurts" in order to draw attention from parents. Doing some reading on what to do with a whiny child. Looks like I am doing the right thing, just need to work on the patience.
