Today we left off where we started, spoiled at Grandma's and Grandpa's house, as Grandma took Maya to the farm where she fed the sheep and chickens, returning with a busted pigeon egg and three feathers in hopes to fly like Dumbo. Grandpa tidied up our car, as if they had not done enough to help us out.
Jen wiped up a yummy breakfast, one that Papa Dale would love to eat, but his surgeon would not be proud of. Uncle Nick entertained the kids with blocks and cars while Big Nana asked us where she was multiple times.
Arriving home Dad assumed the usual useless position of Dad with a non functional leg, battling debris fields of stuff with crutches or bouncing around landmines of kid clutter. Mom was busy preparing for our next camping trip, while Dad read in the back yard while trying to tame the kids. Maya made me sand snow cones while Ashton poured bubbles on me and tagged me with chalk. Our kitten Lucky welcomed us home, and is defunct of jumping skills, yet replaced by spider man like climbing of any screen or cloth material covering flesh.
